Manchu is largely suffixing and agglutinative. Case endings, particles, and verbal suffixes do much of the grammatical work. The grammar source used for ManchuCulture.net teaches six basic vowels and vowel harmony, while also showing that real words, borrowed forms, and suffix choices must be learned from usage rather than reduced to one mechanical rule.
